Large engineered residential retaining wall on a riverfront property
For Homeowners

We repair and replace failing retaining walls

We design and build engineered retaining walls for steep, wet, and hard-to-access home sites, with the geogrid, drainage rock, and compaction that keep a wall standing for decades. Every residential wall carries our 5-year warranty. For patios and garden borders, see our sister company, Sequoia Stonescapes.

Why retaining walls fail

Most retaining walls fail because of what’s behind the block: no geogrid, poor drainage, backfill that was never compacted. On every wall we build, the base prep is sized to the actual soils, geogrid goes in at the engineered elevations, clean drainage rock and pipe go behind the wall, and backfill is compacted in lifts. We have built walls that way for over ten years, and it’s why we warranty them.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about our walls, licensing, and how we bid.

Yes. We are licensed and bonded in both Oregon and Washington, so we can be written into bid sets on either side of the river. COI and submittals available on request.

Segmental block (SRW), boulder and natural stone, and gabion systems, geogrid-reinforced and matched to the loads, drainage, and site.

Yes. The crew that digs the site builds the wall and hauls the spoils with our own excavators and dump trucks, with no brokered scopes, so the schedule doesn't depend on our subs.

The plan set, specs, and your bid date. Upload them through Submit Plans and we'll return an itemized proposal with inclusions and exclusions in writing.

Yes. We focus on the larger, engineered residential walls: hillside stabilization, waterfront access, and drainage-heavy sites that go beyond typical landscaper work. We are licensed and bonded in Oregon and Washington (Oregon CCB #198317, Washington Lic #SEQUOSI876RK).
