Alex Peters
Owner / President
Alex has worked in the hardscape industry since age 15 and has installed every type of hardscape system in that time. He oversees project planning and quality on every PacWest job.
Dallas Deaton
General Manager
Dallas comes from a background in excavation and structural moving, relocating houses and full buildings. He manages day-to-day operations and keeps crews and schedules on track, and handles most of the estimating, working with engineers and permitting.
Laban Bower
Superintendent
Laban's background covers excavation, heavy equipment operation, and equipment mechanics. He runs field operations and keeps equipment and crews productive on site.
How PacWest started
PacWest started with a simple observation: most retaining wall failures aren't caused by bad block. They're caused by shortcuts in the work you can't see once the wall is up, the base, the geogrid, the drainage, the compaction. The wall looks fine on day one. A few winters later it's leaning, weeping, or on the ground.
Alex Peters founded the company to do that work differently. Every wall gets base prep sized to the actual soils on that site, geogrid at the engineered elevations, drainage rock and pipe behind the face, and backfill compacted in lifts. That approach takes longer than scraping topsoil, stacking block, and driving away, and it's why we can put a warranty behind the work: five years on residential, one year on commercial workmanship.
PacWest is the retaining wall, excavation, and trucking side of the family business. Our sister company, Sequoia Stonescapes, handles paver driveways, patios, and outdoor living. Same family, same standard: build it right the first time.
